Gelivan x Pierre Citron – Rodalquilar Sessions (LP)

[EN] In spring 2017, through travelling and uncertainty, Gelivan stayed a month in a house in Rodalquilar, Andalusia.

An ideal opportunity and framework to realize a dream that Gelivan dared to believe: to collaborate with an artist he admires. So he invited Pierre Citron, lyricist and MC who made the road from Brussels, Belgium. This little spanish town of Rodalquilar that was renowned for its gold mines and quiet life has been the setting and inspiration for the creation of the EP. The collaboration brings together garage bass lines and poetic instrumental loops to give way to an innovative hip-hop flow.

[FR] En printemps 2017, par le biais du voyage et de l’incertitude, Gelivan eu l’opportunité de séjourner un mois dans une maison à Rodalquilar en Andalousie.

Une occasion idéale pour réaliser un rêve auquel il a osé croire : collaborer avec un artiste qu’il admire. Il invita donc Pierre Citron à le rejoindre. Ce tout petit bled qui fût réputé pour ses mines d’or et la vie tranquille ont été le décor et l’inspiration pour la création de l’EP Rodalquilar Sessions. La collaboration assemble grosses lignes de bass influencées garage et boucles instrumentales poétiques pour laisser place à un flow hip-hop novateur.
